June 7, 2019

opening June mifo

The unique works of Krasi Dimtch will be exhibited in the Eugène-Racette Art Gallery of the Orleans Francophone Engagement Movement (MIFO) in June. The opening will take place on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 7 pm to 9 pm and it's free.

Krasi Dimtch is a Canadian-Bulgarian artist. She has exhibited in Ottawa, Montreal, the United States, Italy, South Korea and Bulgaria. In 2018, she received the first  Palm Art Award in Germany.

His artistic practice focuses on the development of atypical means to represent human language and its symbols. Language has become the driving force of his art and the spiritual healer of his mind.

Krasi Dimtch creates hybrid works that are the result of the symbiosis between his imagination and custom software that generates sentences and represents them as visual motifs and musical sounds. His techniques include elements that are highly subjective and his works are created in a way that is possible for the first time in the 21st century.

His work begins with the development of a text that contains software-generated sentences and phrases found in synonymic word sequences. Then, these sentences are transformed into visual patterns by the same software. Finally, she manually creates a visual translation of the text, using the computer mouse instead of a brush and thousands of images generated by the software instead of acrylic paint.

His photographs can be admired in the virtual gallery of the Eugène-Racette Art Gallery.
